Pork Chops

Since there is a chance that I may be going up north to Wisconsin for the summer, I decided that I really should learn how to cook. Not that I haven't decided that before. I mean I did cook Tuna Helper a couple of weeks ago. But today was the first time I decided to cook something my grandma had planned and follow through with it. Well almost. I fixed the pork chops which was pretty easy and fast. I also made the brew for the green beans and cooked them. The only problem is that I walked out of the kitchen to do my own thing after I covered the pots. My attention span is pretty short when it comes to cooking so that might explain why I don't like to do it.

Disappointment

I know in life there will be disappointment. That's just a part of life. But knowing that doesn't help me feel any better. However, at least I didn't fail and I was able to talk my way into getting two extra points. Thank God.

Bon Appetit

So today I decided to cook dinner. I was really excited since I've never done so before, but I admit it was nothing fancy like porchops, gravy and rice and green beans. Please, I'm not that experienced. Just Tuna Pasta by Tuna Helper!

The instructions were pretty easy to follow (yeah I know they should be), but before the food was even cooked I decided to memorize the recipe so I won't ever starve. Well, after mixing everything together, and stirring for a while I was afraid it wouldn't look like the picture on the box. I know I cooked it longer than neccessary. It took a while to thicken out, but in the end, it came out really good. Even my brother said so. But he says that about almost everything. lol

OMG You're So Photogenic

Unfortunately, that's something I will probably never ever hear in my lifetime. Cute yeah, pretty maybe, but photogenic?... Hmm never. But that's okay, I mean I get by with decent pictures every now and then, but today I hit an all time low.

My grandma was looking at some old pictures that are posted around my dresser mirror and she stared at this one particular picture for the longest time. Finally she says, "I'm trying to figure out who this girl is with Essence... wait is that you?" Seeing where this conversation is going I'm like "yeah" and bury my face under my blanket. She then goes on to say something like, "Girl, what happened to you, your hair looks.... you look like some drunk.... ha ha... drunko ha ha..."

Now people, normally I'd be upset and probably even mad, but I really couldn't do anything this time because... well... she was right. In that picture, I look highly unrecognizable. No seriously I look an unsightly mess. LOL
